This was a slow burn and as expected Sam Elliott was being Sam Elliott. He was playing an ageing actor and voice actor with the golden voice, so seemed somewhat biographical. There was a one scene that showed an emotional range than I had ever seen him do before, as he was dealing with his cancer diagnosis, dealing with finding work and reaching out to his estranged daughter. Sounds like it would be a more interesting plot, but perhaps i was too tired (as i fell asleep before the ending), but did not make me want to review it, as I had seen most of the 97 minute film. I did also find that the script was weak and uneven and somewhat unreal.
