The book that I will be reviewing is called Everything, Everything written by Nicola Yoon. This book is about a girl named Madeline who can't leave her house because she is sick and she will get worse if she leaves her house. She is taken care of by her mother and nurse named Carla. When Madeline meets Olly, the new neighbors, her life changes in an instant. Now she wants to know everything about this new boy however when Olly asks about her sickness she becomes distant. Everything changes when Madeline starts to listen to Olly when he says that she doesn't seem sick. I think that this is a good book about being more open rather than staying in your room and hiding from the world. It is almost trying to say that you can't experience anything in life unless you go out into the world. I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. @PrimaBallerina of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board Everything Everything is a great quick read. I found that I was able to read it quickly because it isn’t like a ‘normal’ book. It has throughout the book one page chapters, images and definitions. I would definitely say that if you are a slow reader this book is the book for you. It was very easy to read since you won’t be reading pages upon pages for one chapter. It has a great story line, that is typical yet different from other YA romance novels. It is cheesy novel with a somewhat typical story line, but what sets the book apart is the was it is set up. As I have mentioned before it was a quick simple read. I found that my brain wasn’t as bored as it can be reading novels because there was many breaks within it. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars. @hdreviews of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board Everything Everything, is a beautiful novel by Nicola Yoon. The story is set in the stunning Los Angeles, California. A heart-warming tale of love and a medical barrier that causes heart wrenching difficulties for two love birds to be together. A story of Maddy Whittier who is a patient of severe combined immunodeficiency a rare disease that makes her allergic to almost everything. Which leads her to staying inside a carefully sealed environment and not able to live a normal life like other 17-year old. But soon the girl falls in love with the next-door boy who just recently moved in named Olly. It all just started by exchanging innocent stares from each other’s windows and then texting through the computer and finally fallen deeply in love with each other. Eventually as the story progresses of there love Maddy must make a decision of risking everything for her love to be with Olly and explore the world even if it means to lose everything in the end. I just love this book it really touches the heart and it’s a whole ride of a emotional roller coaster its so beautifully written similar to The fault in our starts. I would recommend this book a 5 out of 5 the author narrated this in a seamless manner making it stand out it was a very gorgeous tale of love. @Bookalicious of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board
