Louise is a young artist. She draws most of the time. She thinks about how to draw the rest of the time. She is currently working on her masterpiece for an "art show". Her little brother, Art, is also an artist. But he is a toddler and begins drawing on pieces of Louise's artwork. Then he makes art on her masterpiece. Big oops! But as much as she loves art, she loves her brother Art more. The wording of this book is very simple--only a sentence or two per page--which makes it a quick read or a good book for beginning readers. The illustrations are mostly in red black and white as you see on the cover. The illustrations are a mix of very simple and very complex drawings on the same page which makes then intriguing. The story is endearing as Louise shows how much her brother means more to her than her art. This sends a wonderful message to the reader. It is also fun to watch her make all of her art. She is obviously obsessed with drawing. I think budding artists would enjoy this story very much.
