Ice Age
Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs Blu-ray Disc - 2009

This movie is truly roaring with fun! Who cares if it is not scientifically accurate, for what Ice Age 3 lacks in realism like the first two, it excels in fun family entertainment, and some real heart to heart scenes. For one, the action is amazing. Each step on the herd's adventure to find Sid is fun to watch, from the carnivorous plant eating Manny and Diego, to Ellie about to give birth to her daughter, while being stalked by several raptors. Awesome and creative! This movie is also very funny, from the constant battle with Scrat and his girlfriend for an acorn, to Sid having an argument with a mother T-rex, to the point where he even says "This is how you resolve conflict? No wonder you're single!" That was so funny! But what also makes Ice Age 3 a great movie, is the deep underlying theme. The theme being Manny learning to be a better friend, and not be so worried about his wife, something many fathers might go through. The one itty bitty problem about this movie, is the main villain Rudy. I know accuracy is not needed in this movie, but it would not kill the animators to give Rudy a back spine. A Spinosaurus was bigger then a T-rex, not a Baryonyx. But anyways, if you did not feel happy about the latest Ice Age movies, then I recommend watching Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It is full of stomping fun! 4/5. @BooksRUs of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

This is one of the movies from the Ice Age series. This movie is amazing! It is based around Sid, who pilfers some dinosaur eggs, Manny, Diego and the rest of their prehistoric pals enter a mysterious, underground world to rescue the hapless sloth. During the course of their mission, the gang encounters many creatures great and small, including hungry carnivores and a relentless, dinosaur-hunting weasel named Buck. Age 3 is indeed alluring fare for the family. The franchise carries on showcasing its brilliant art work, its warm and vibrant characters and its straight-from-the-heart story of team spirit and survival, of not only the fittest, but the weakest too. Overall, it is a fantastic movie and fun for the whole family to watch! 5/5. @TheBookWorm of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
