tried watching the BR version, but heavy use had disk one too worn to play for me, bailed. guess i'll stick with DVDs instead. VERY LATE UPDATE: my bad, turns out the dvd player was at fault, not library's media. ----------------- separate reply to dogmocha's question in october 2013: < I have a question does anyone know if they have the original doctor, the first, the one WHO started it all in 1963-1966 played by William hartnell > there was a storage problem saving bulky video tapes back in the day, and iirc early doctor who seasons were recorded over, or tossed in the trash. only 2nd hand dribs and drabs turned up later. the fine john cleese autobiography "so, anyway.." laments the loss of some of his early bbc work for the same reason. .... very late ps: the library offers a half dozen first doctor William Hartnell dvd works, ignoring cameos. a browser cut and paste of this link might help: https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&t=author&search_category=author&q=William+Hartnell&commit=Search&searchOpt=catalogue
