I am a big fan of Shrek, so I enjoyed this addition to his story. I thought that it was creative and original, and I liked the film’s main conflict. I think that the inclusion of Rumpelstiltskin was unique and imaginative, and was an interesting spin on the fairytale theme. The film was funny, clever, and unique, which made it entertaining and intriguing! The characters are all very likeable and well-developed, which adds a lot to the story line. I would definitely recommend this movie to other viewers. It isn’t as great as the original Shrek film; however, it is a cute additional story to the franchise. 3.5/5 @PenelopeScriptor of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board Shrek Forever After was released on April 21st, 2010 and had a box office of 752.6 million dollars. This film was a definite improvement from the third movie. There are more new and refreshing humour. This film feels more “adult” rather than the childish feel we got from the earlier films. This time with Shrek trying to relive his golden ages becomes relatable with the older audience. Adding more ogres made it feel weird in a way. I’m not used to watching a Shrek movie that has more ogres than Fiona and Shrek. This made Shrek feel less important in my opinion. Overall, it was an okay film. Three out of five stars from me! @SpookyCat of The Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board This movie is currently the fourth and latest installment of the Shrek franchise. Shrek is now living a normal life similar to that of a person with his wife Fiona and his three kids. Remember Shrek’s ogre-like antics from before when he was like a true ogre? Well, Shrek definitely does and he wants that life back. He wants to become the true ogre he once was, but how can he do it? He meets someone named Rumpelstiltskin and he thinks that this person can make this come true. However, this must be too good to be true. Will Shrek take the chance? And if he does, how will it turn out? @JuiceboxZ of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
