1947. A fashion empire rises from the ashes of war-torn Paris, run by the breathtakingly charming and thoroughly ruthless Paul Sabine. But behind the glamour and elegance lies a devastating secret that threatens to destroy the company's delicately built success. Sophisticated and contemporary in tone, this is a story about the price of success, set during a pivotal moment in France's history.

Add a CommentI was hooked from the first episode- hints of all the secrets, post-war appreciation for beauty, different morals of the time - all make this worth watching.
All British actors speaking English playing the French roles, that's bad. Frances de la Tour looks and sounds grotesque. I am very surprised that PBS would put their name to something this bad. Only managed to watch almost one episode.
