Not just a good superhero movie, but a good movie, period.

Fantastic plots, cliff hangers and strong female leads!

Wonder Woman is the story of Princess Diana from the hidden island of Themyscira where the Amazonian warriors reside. Diana chooses to leave her safety and home to help fight the war of humans! This movie is the best DC movie ever created because not only is every frame a gift to your eyes it also has a fantastic script and amazing female actors.

Sooo...slow? The action didn't really pick up after the one-hour mark? CGI scenery looks cheap (combo-Dover cliff/Italian Cinqueterre/etc.) Come to think of it, ALL Marvel Comics action hero/ines are mired in the 50-60s with fantasy-powers (everyone can fly, POW!!!). Liked Gal Gadot performance (yet the innocent abroad act wears thin after one hour). Read somewhere that Wonder Woman was banned in Lebanon and/or certain Arab countries because GG was Israeli? [For action movie based on 21st century, check out The Kingsman, the Golden Circle: drug war, Fentanyl-like crisis, robotics, face/voice recognition, hack galore, a jab a Trump and so much more. This puts comedy back into the comics!]

"[Humans are] everything you say... but so much more."

The essential message of this film. Human beings are capable of so much destruction, so much hatred. They can, and yet may, set the world on fire. But that is not all that they're capable of. They are not one-dimensional. I flat out loved this message in the film, and it's a good one for the troubled times we live in.

Still, beyond that, I also just enjoyed my 2.5 hours watching this film. Watching Diana step out into the world, not so much losing her innocence but growing organically from it. She becomes wiser to the ways of the world, but she does not let it ultimately change who she is.

This movie's entire cast and crew came together, and gave us gold. This was not the traditional 'save the world, get a happy ending' film (did anyone else other than me sob their heart out over Steve Trevor's sacrifice?), but it works all the better for that.

The score is also to die for. Worth every minute of your time.

Great movie, thought the villain was kinda weak, but I enjoyed this film!

Patty Jenkins is the first female director of a live action based off a comic book superhero film. As immortal Amazon goddess Diana, Gal Gadot is as wonderful as she is strong.

Entertaining movie. The power of an image.
For other viewers lamenting the world not hugging it out after Ares gets his due, this is similar to the plot device in the anime The Vision of Escaflowne. Why? In VoE, the Fate Machine was said to be controlling everyone's actions. When the Machine was shut down, not everyone realized their freedom and continued to act warlike. So there you go.

I love this movie! I wasn’t sure how Gal Gadot would fit as the new Wonder Woman but after watching the movie, she is Wonder Woman! And with Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, you can’t ask for more 🙂

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Dr. Poison is rather creepy, what with her burned, scarred mouth. Villains, death of innocents, and World War I theme.
