Add a CommentThis movie does not do the book justice. SO much of the character development that happens within the book does not happen on screen. The movie also feels a bit rushed with no motivations given for much of what happens on screen. The actors turn in another solid performance on this one, but certain scenes lack the impact that they should have because the movie does not take the time to tie individuals together.
Shortest movie; longest book.
This movie is good and exciting. Also a bit sad... I love the Harry Potter series.
As far as the movies go, this one is the best in the series.
Movies are art in themselves, Children. Stop trying to compare them to the books. Your lives will be all the sweeter after you learn that lesson. (After Warner Bros got themselves a director who understood that, too, the movies improved.)
Order of the Phoenix is cohesive art, that doesn't rely on the book to hold it together. The scene in which Harry realizes he already has everything he needs to defeat Voldemort is pure cinematographic magic.
I've read all the books except for the cursed child, and so far, the Order of the Phoenix was the worst. The 1-4th books were really good, but starting from the 5th it started to really slow down. :(
It’s Harry’s 5th year at Hogwarts and things are still quite hard to adapt to for Harry, after a slight mishap with Ministry of Magic Laws and his classmates not too sure what to think of him, Harry is shown an alliance called “The Order of the Phoenix” a group that many parents of Hogwarts students were in during the dark times such as, The Weasleys and The Longbottoms. After Harry believes things can’t get any worse, a representative from the Ministry of Magic comes to “help” Hogwarts. This movie is rated PG but I think is best suited for ages 10+, it definitely is a great movie for a family with older children. I suggest watching the “Harry Potter series in order starting with the “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, and so on. By watching the series in order it will make the movies much more understandable and will be much more enjoyable. I think the title says a lot about the movie in a way that it’s a group of wizards and witches that fight against Lord Voldemort. “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” is the movie where everything starts coming together in the series, new friends, new enemies, more adventures, rebellions, alliances, heroes, villains and tons of proclamations. So if you love the “Harry Potter” series, or just trying to watch something new, this action packed fantasy world based on J.K Rowling’s hit book series is the perfect movie to watch.
great movie but i think the books are better!!
Like all the movies in this series it follows the book extremely well. If your someone who only watchs the movies I dare you read the books their long but they are worth it
KILL UMBRIDGE W/ FIRE!!!
