A wonderful story with a timely plot and fine characters. Folks come into the story in unusual, but explainable ways and the novel unfolds with unexpected but heartfelt events. The best book I have read so far this year.

This lovely book kept me turning the pages the whole way through. Charlie, who struggles with OCD and falls on the autism spectrum, was so likeable and I found myself rooting for him page after page. I loved all of the bird facts and other facts peppered throughout the novel. Albeit a bit didactic at times, overall this book is a great next read for fans of realistic fiction.
