This color-illustrated compendium offers one-page entries on about 100 herbs used for food and for healing, highlighting each plant’s cultural and magical qualities and historical uses. Instead of photos of herbs, each entry includes a one-page color artistic rendition of the herb in silk screen style, inspired by Modernist design, using simple geometric forms and vibrant colors. For gardeners, herbalists, cooks and artists – a beautifully illustrated book featuring 100 herbs. Caz Hildebrand creatively represents each herb with a modernist illustration. Each gorgeous picture features a vibrant color palate and creates unusual patterns. Hildebrand shares information or a story about each herb. She also gives little tips on how to grow and use the herbs for cooking and healing. Unique and absolutely charming.
