So many things you may be curious about and explained in an accessible manner.

Although the science is of course impeccable, the objective of the book is not really achieved. This was meant to have been a comparison of the scientific pov with the religious. Unfortunately Dr Carroll's lack of experience or understanding of religion let him down, to the point of setting up straw men such as astrology or miracles in order to dismiss the validity of spiritual matters when considered scientifically.

Not quite what I expected. Read selected chapters. Interesting approach to naturalist philosophy from a physicist.

Brilliant exploration of the history and current state of science from quantum field theory to how life started along with it's effect on philosophy : how we think about God, ourselves, consciousness, etc.

Yeah . . . yeah . . . yeah - - been there, read that! Far better explained in Fantastic Four, issues 41 to 43, titled Subatomica - - now THAT explained everything!
