I watched both of the Rio movies when the first came out, but I rewatched both of them and I was not disappointed at all. Both Rio and Rio 2 are amazing movies and I loved them both. It is such a heartwarming and clever movie. It was so entertaining and lovely. The animation was great as well. The characters were well thought out and the movie shows the importance of family and friends. It shows that you must work together to achieve goals. I loved the storyline because it was just so fascinating. I totally recommend this movie to people of all ages. I give this movie a 5 out of 5 stars.

This was fun movie-the music was good and the animation was wonderful. I liked the bonus features that showed how the film was made.

This is is awful !
...when I got this NYPL disc home and put this movie in the DVD player...and the screen says: "NOT FORMATTED FOR THIS REGION" !!?? ( Even though it states "Region #1", on the DVD jacket !!?)

I have watched a thousand other New York Public Library DVDs on my Panasonic Region 1 DVD Player,.. but this one makes it 32 TIMES that a film has have come up as "NOT FORMATTED..." etc. !

I waited a long time to get this highly recommended film.

I really wanted to see this movie.
And I know that ALL the NYPL copies of it will have this same problem !!

WHY is the New York Public Library buying DVD's that are "NOT FORMATTED.." to be viewed in this region ?

Has this ever happened to anyone else out there ??

A cute kid's movie with great songs and a real Rio flare. A wonderful movie for the kid in all of us. Watch the extra section where they show you just how much care was taken to get the exact images of the birds and the city scape of Rio. I was really impressed once I looked a little closer at all the time, work and expertize put into making this film. To all those nay sayers - do you have any respect for animation? Look at the DVD's extra section before making your final grade of this movie.

Wild-born Jewel and domestically-raised Blu thought they were the only blue macaws left in the world, and even started a family together, but when it appears that there might be others hidden in the deep Amazon, Jewel insists they all go out and find out if it's true. Better than the first one (which was eye-candy but, to me, boring and slapped-together); funny with an actual non-contrived-feeling storyline about home and identity.
