A very black and white presentation of a fictional pastor's search for more meaning. Not very imaginative. Adds fuel to stereotyping of different churches.

It's loosely structured allegory that's easy to read.Don't look for exquisite dialogue or descriptions; it's about how faith works, what a journey to finding your own faith looks like, and how God "talks" through art, people, and places.

If you have an interest in what faith looks like outside of religion and you like fiction, you might find it a good read.

I too am a fan of St. Francis, but this book is mostly about what's-his-name, the author. Gave up 1/3 into it.

Though provoking and great message! I have a new fascination for St. Francis of Assissi.

After a tragic and unexpected event takes place, Chase Falson's faith cracks - then crumbles.

Falson is the founding pastor at Putnam Hill Community Church - an up and coming megachurch in New England. He's no longer sure the faith, religion, and God he's been following are worth following.

He embarks on a journey with his uncle and several other Franciscan Priests to learn about St. Francis of Assissi. During his journey he learns much about both himself and his floundering faith.
