Americans everywhere would seem to agree with the late Woodrow Wyatt, a contemporary of Churchill's, of all the Prime Ministers Churchill was the most maddening, the most egotistical and the greatest. It is not necessarily a criticism of the politicians who have trod the world stage since Churchill exited to say that the world has not seen his like since. (pp.247)
