The Clone Wars: Season Four brings back Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rex, and Ahsoka Tano as they continue to fight in the raging Clone Wars against the Separatists. The CGI has been updated and has improved significantly. Season Four also brings to life a memorable and beloved prequel character that had fans cheering. Season Four blends the darker tones from Season Three and the lighter tones of the previous first and second seasons. This season is still pretty violent and gritty for younger viewers, portraying voodoo, a character driven mad, and violence. I did thoroughly enjoy this season, especially the exploration of Anakin's backstory, the return of a memorable villain, and the underwater world of Admiral Ackbar's species. I would give it a 4/5. Still dark but with great storytelling moments.

There was no rating on the dvd itself when found on the library shelf. Definitely not for our 5 year old, and should have the PG rating on the dvd cover. Horrific archetypal imagery very unsuitable for him on the 'Savage' episode.
Otherwise, a well done series.
