Pennington tends to ramble on a bit -- maybe recycling some of his NYT columns -- but this book offers plenty of good advice for everyday golfers. Walk instead of ride, carry only the clubs you can actually hit, warm up properly before playing, improve your scores by learning to keep the ball in play off the tee, leave your cell phone in the car, and much more. It's sad that so few of the golfers who actually need this advice will read his book.
