As great as the 1st in this series, The Spymaster's Lady. Margerite de Fleurignac, former aristocrat now being hunted by France's revolutionaries, has an underground network of her own - she is the head of La Fleche, the group that smuggles aristos out of France. Enter Britain's top spy, William Doyle, who is on the hunt for her family, her father. The chemistry is searing, the danger these two characters weave in and out of with ease top-notch exciting, and the plot of tight, tight, tight. I loved it, this one's a keeper, a book that can be reread and not get tired of.

4/5 Loved Hawker as a kid! The back cover is a bit misleading though. Check the link for a better one.

Loved this book! I love all her books, but this is my 2nd favorite. Great main characters. Lots of great dialogue and action.
