TV's "The Smothers Brothers Variety/Comedy Hour" from the late 1960s was definitely something of a novelty.

Not only did Tom and Dick openly support the psychedelic "hippie culture" movement of their times, but, they also readily mocked the US government and voiced their opposition to the Vietnam War.

Issues such as gun control and civic rights were also hot topics debated on their show.

The Smothers Brothers also hosted some of the top names in pop music on their often-criticized program, such as - The Who, The Byrds, The Association, Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell.

This 3-DVD collection contains the best of The Smothers Brothers from Season 2 (1967 - 1968) which includes some segments that had originally been censored by CBS.
