Sexual Content: Nudity and several sex scenes of high intensity, bordering on S&M. Not for children for sure.

this was terrible. The whole movie is questionable. I did not enjoy all the ridiculous scenes between Binoche and Irons....it didn't even make any sense. I did not find this movie realistic or believable. I found this, at the very least, a waste of time. I wish I'd never seen it.
A great drama by French director Louis Malle about the uncontrollable passion of a British MP toward his son's much younger lover. Both leading actors did a great job in portraying this intense, and unhealthy, relationship. You kind of know the relationship has to lead to a disaster and surely it did. Some very passionate, erotic, love-making scenes - the most intense I have seen on the big screen.
It would really suck being in this family!
