This film by David Cronenberg is now over 30 years old. As a suspense drama it is a decent one. Not the best work by this Canadian director, though.

Excellent film based on the spooky and thrilling supernatural thriller!

Shot exclusively in Ontario in Stoufville, Whitevale, and Orono.

Also check out The Dead Zone Tv show if your interested in seeing the story extended!

This movie made a Christopher Walken fan of me long ago! His character is deliciously eerie, but nice, not a mobster or hardcore bad-guy like he usually plays. A tragic hero. If you love Chris' work, then you have to see this, you won't be sorry!

A brilliant and thoughtful film. The Stephen King authorship suggests that it will be a horror flick, which it is not. The film is notable for great performances; Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen and Herbert Lom. Watch also for a great performance by Nicholas Campbell, who would later become DaVinci of "Inquest" fame. Notable also: Anthony Zerbe, Tom Skerritt, Brooke Adams, and Coleen Dewhurst. And it's one of David Cronenberg's best films ever.

Although dark and a bit slow, this was a good movie. We were pleasantly surprised. Unlike the TV series, the movie does not have a happy end and seems more like Stephen King.
