Devoted fans of classic Film Noir and Pulp Detective Flicks of the 1940s and 50s will surely enjoy this surprisingly entertaining and highly-imaginative Screwball Comedy from 1982.... Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is both a parody and a homage to the glorious Golden Age of Hollywood Detective Flicks.... Filmed in glossy black and white this film ingeniously weaves its plot and production design around numerous 1940s movie clips recycled from such golden oldies as Double Indemnity, Notorious, and The Big Sleep, to name but a few.... Here's a motion picture that is guaranteed great movie-fun.
