If you're looking for something to read, this is a nice choice. Very uplifting and inspirational, and nice and short as well. Its fascinating to read about Bethany's experience growing up on Kauai, then her attack, and how she adapted afterwards. She really is an amazing person!

As a fourteen year old, Bethany is probably one of the most amazing individuals I know. A truly inspiring story that captures our attention and allow us to look at life from a new standpoint. Sometimes things happen to good people, and we question why is life is so unfair? Truly, there is no answer. Amazing Race is where I heard of Bethany and realized her story. She explores her journey through recovery and hard times to begin her surfing journey. What makes this story so strong is that it's a true story and that it took her a long time to recover but she never gave up. It really helps motivates individuals when we encounter problems in life when we feel we can't overcome it, whether it's a small or bigger problem. It's a must read, a life changing story.
