Quite a bit sad, the ending, and the Taran/Eilonwy thing isn't as deep as I would have liked (he never looks her in the eyes or whatever) but I can't complain...overall good read, esp. if you like the series. I was sad when a few characters died which is a sign of a good book.

Sad the series is over for me :(

This was a nice ending to the series, with characters appearing that were introduced in the earlier books. I was glad Eilonwy was in it again because she's one of the best characters and was mostly missing from 3 and 4. The ending is bittersweet and a bit rushed. Still, I recommend finishing the whole series.

The last book in the series. Everything comes together in a final battle of good vs. evil. Draws from all previous books and brings back both old friends and enemies in one great tale of fantasy. More fighting than in previous books but without being too graphic in the details.

A good conclusion to the series. This series could have used a sixth volume just to tie up various loose ends throughout the series. The flow from book 3 to books 4 & 5 was not as smooth as it could have been. I was a little disappointed with certain parts of this particular book, but it's worth the read anyway.
