Has short section on history. Discusses a few essential stitches (really all that you would need). Has 45 patterns, a fair amount that I haven’t seen in other more modern blackwork books. Has a section on finding inspiration for new patterns. Has several patterns / instructions for projects at the end of the book. Does have a few color pages showing the projects in full color. Projects include book jacket, table linens, pillows as well as some wall art and suggestions for decorating clothes.
